Honeywell Red NF11 and NF11X Gloves Safety Notice and Return Program

Why is Honeywell asking for a return of product?
During a regulatory review of this product, certification testing indicated the presence of trace levels of Benzidine in the red dye. Our analysis indicates that any concern about exposure is very low. Nevertheless, Honeywell has
chosen to request that product be returned for replacement free of charge.

How do I determine which gloves to return?
Only red NF11 and NF11X gloves are subject to this safety notice and return program. Affected product was received by you before January 1, 2019.
Refer to the visual indicator sheets to identify the correct product to segregate and return.

Should I return used NF11 and NF11X gloves?
No. Only return unused product. Do make a separate record of the number of pair of red NF11 and NF11X that are used at your site and Honeywell will replace that product.

Are other NF11 series gloves affected?
No, NF11HD, NFD11HD and NF11HVY are not affected. It is ONLY the red NF11 and NF11X gloves that are affected.

What should I do when I have identified the correct gloves for return?
Using the Business Response Form, log quantity by size, then package and seal all product.

Stericycle will be sending a hard copy mailing with return address labels. You can also get labels by calling 888-462-0579.

Stericycle will confirm return of product, and then forward that information to Honeywell to process the credit.

No, to receive credit, unused gloves subject to this safety notice and return program must be received and confirmed by Stericycle.
Used gloves are the exception, if gloves are used, do not ship, count and submit that information to Stericycle on a separate Business Return Form, then dispose of, per your site’s usual procedure.

Is replacement product available, and has it been tested?
All product that was received after January 1, 2019 is free of dyes that could potentially release benzidine. The replacement glove product has been tested by a 3rd party lab, with no benzidine reported. Honeywell will continue to monitor this with random testing.
